Completed in 2005, this cutaway view of the Berliner Dom is one of Ruben Atayan's earliest architectural illustrations — a technique he later carried into his panoramic city maps. The cross-section peels back Berlin Cathedral's exterior to reveal the domed nave, its rows of pews, and the Hohenzollern crypt beneath, where more than 90 members of the Prussian royal family are buried. Located on Museum Island in the heart of Berlin, the Cathedral remains one of the city's most recognisable landmarks.
